I joined Service Learning about 3 years ago through a project with the Women's Empowerment Group. Ever since, I have been drawn to multiple social causes and eventually started to lead my own projects. What I truly admire about Service Learning and its members is that we are all here because we want to contribute to a better world by acting upon change. Whether our passions involve racial equality, feminism, environmental action, and more, we are all here with the purpose of helping the vulnerable and leading our community to be more inclusive; Service Learning is, therefore, about giving and growing. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity to grow as a leader and a citizen alongside helping others do the same.

Alyssa Alice, Chair

When I joined service learning I immediately saw myself actively engaging in future projects. What makes this group so dearly important to me is that I can input all of my passion on social equality towards helping others and advocating for equal rights. I hope to contribute to the group's existing goals by excersing my own: communicating, learning, leading, and manifesting a voice for the inequalities we all try to cease.

When the idea of Service Learning was first presented to me, my attention was instantly grabbed. I have always been passionate about helping people in need, learning about different cultures/traditions, and embracing diversity, so I joined without thinking twice. By participating in projects with MAI, Centro Humaitá, Indigenous project, Irmão-Sol, I have grown as a leader, but most importantly, as a human being. The learnings of this club will stay with me through the rest of my life. I am proud to be part of all the amazing things we have and will continue to accomplish.
