ABOUT
SERVICE LEARNING
MISSION & HISTORY.
The vision of the Service Learning Committee is to promote Service Learning by responding to authentic needs in our community and doing what we can to help the ones in need. Whilst helping others, students inadvertently develop a range of life skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking presentation, communication, and leadership skills.

In our projects, we address issues such as inequalities, human rights, homelessness, empowerment, diversity, health, and education. During the process of completing these projects, we go through five stages of service learning. Our first step is completing our investigation, followed by preparation, action, reflection, and demonstration.

Investigation
Members of a project need to initially make a social analysis of the issue chosen to address. Participants of the project need to collect surveys, interviews, facts, figures, and other sources of media to truly understand the need for that service action.
Preparation
In the second stage of service learning members of a project need to identify possible partners, arrange roles for everyone in the group, and create a plan of action with a time line.

Action
The plan is implemented through direct/indirect service. In this step, members of the project do all the necessary work to achieve the expected goal according to the project's preparation.

Reflection
After making the action necessary for the completion of the project members should reflect on the good and bad aspects of the action made, and think about all the emotions that were sparked in them while addressing this cause.

Demonstration
The final step of service learning is of displaying the project to an audience. This goes from doing an Instagram post to announcing it in the assembly. This step is really important because it educates people that something is being done to address the issue and that people need to start doing something to solve that problem.
